Cleaning cloth and rod

Metronome or metronome app for phone (for home practice)

Excused and Unexcused Lessons

If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson please call at least 48 hours in advance so that we may reschedule. Since the price of your tuition includes more than just your weekly lesson if you do not call 48 hours in advance and need to cancel, you will be charged for the lesson and it will not be made up. For your student’s benefit please reschedule rather than canceling if you know of a conflict in advance.

This absence policy is intended to encourage parents and students to take responsibility in planning and preparing for their flute lessons. Regular participation is important in encouraging consistent practice routines and musical development, therefore I recommend students come to their lessons even if they have had a busy week and do not feel as prepared. There are always many things that we can do during the lessons, such as tone development, sight reading exercises, and more.

Unexpected cancellations with less than 48 hours of notice may be made up in the event of

Illness

Family emergency

Severe weather

If I should need to cancel a lesson with you, I will attempt to reschedule. If we are unable to find a compatible date you have the option to receive a credit on your next monthly lessons fee.

If you must cancel on the day of a lesson: Please leave a message on my voice mail at the Flute Tutor Studio number. E-mail alone is NOT an acceptable method of canceling a lesson.
